Dollar Tree to the Rescue: Christmas Tree Edition

In my quest for something to store my Christmas tree decorations and lights, I scoured the internet for a cost efficient method.  Our tree was 9 ft. tall.  This meant there were a lot of decorations, and I mean a lot.  26 x 4 different colors of balls, 20 x 4 different colors of snowflakes, 24 x 4 different colors of icicles, plus an assortment of other ornaments. In addition to ornaments there were also multiple strands of lights.  I didn't want to spend a lot of money, but I also didn't want to toss everything in a trash bag and throw it in the closet (DH's suggestion).  So I started thinking, and eventually ended up at Dollar Tree, my safe place.  Y'all...it was an eye opening experience.  I managed to get everything I needed to store decorations and lights for $12.  TWELVE DOLLARS!

$4 - 12 blue containers  (3/$1)
$8 - 8 cupcake containers (1/$1)

Cut a whole around the circle of each blue container. This will allow
you to feed in the Christmas lights, as each strand takes two containers.

Ornaments and Lights all packed up for next year.
